MOVING AWARENESS is the quiet light that awakens inside the body as we dance—illuminating breath, sensation, feeling, thought, and impulse as they arise. Grounded in feet meeting the earth and breath finding its rhythm, we listen deeply and allow movement to unfold as an honest response to what is alive in this moment.
This six-week Movement Medicine® journey is an invitation to follow the intelligence of life moving through you. Guided by the Movement Medicine Mandala, we explore the simple practice of inhabiting the body, the dance between inner and outer awareness, and the elemental forces of earth, air, fire, and water as sources of support and remembrance. We move with yin and yang, freedom and unity, discovering how presence gives rise to choice, connection, and meaning.
Held in a safe, nourishing container, this practice invites a deeper sense of home in the body—opening space for the heart and offering the mind a place to rest. No experience is needed; if your heart is beating, the dance is already alive in you.

About us: Thomas Lucas is a pychotherapist who works at the intersection of body, heart, and mind, using somatically based IFS and Natural Processing approaches. Carolyn Cooke is a Gestalt Coach and a lifelong explorer of embodied learning, somatic awareness, and movement. We met on the dance floor in 2000 and have been discovering how we move through life – alone and together – ever since. In 2019, we answered the call of Movement Medicine, apprenticing for a year with founders Ya’Acov & Susannah Darling Khan. From that listening, teaching emerged. We’re delighted to be sharing this work—and the dance—with you.
This workshop welcomes both complete beginners and experienced movers. There is no choreography to get right, and no dance experience or ability is necessary —just a willingness to move and explore the familiar and the unknown.
Cancellation Policy: A full refund is available up to 7 days before each class. A $5 administration fee will be charged if you cancel within 7 days of the class.
