There’s a rhythm underneath everything. A deeper pulse. It’s there beneath the noise, beneath the to-do lists, beneath the New Year’s resolutions that barely make it to February. When you slow down enough to feel it, when you let the unbroken intelligence that lives in your body lead, a door opens.

And who’s behind that door? You. The one who came here to dance your dance on this earth. The one who still dares to dream, connect, and play your full part in the dance of creation.

This is the territory of embodied dreaming, or what we call dreaming awake.

The kind of dreaming that moves your feet, speaks through your hips and calls your heart home. The kind that helps you feel your next step soul deep in your bones, then asks you to actually take it.

The beginning of a new year is fertile ground for this work. A moment to gather the medicine of the year behind you, loosen the grip of familiar habits, and make room for what wants to come alive. Your dreams deserve more than another year in the waiting room.

Over this weekend, we’ll dance deep to awaken the dreaming self, the one who’s always been listening for the signal beneath the static. We’ll work with the Movement Medicine maps, ceremony, rhythm, stillness, and a good dose of humor and realness to help you:

  • Listen deeply to the pulse of possibility and hear your soul’s guidance.

  • Gather what you’ve learned and release what you’re ready to leave behind.

  • Step deeper into your own creative authority.

  • Acknowledge and move through what may be in the way.

  • Give your dreams roots through Movement Medicine ceremony.

Remembering. Reconnecting. Realigning with the living intelligence of life moving through you. And doing this in community, witnessed and witnessing, with room for both your vulnerability and your fire.

Dreaming Awake is an invitation to dance with the dream that’s dreaming you as you step into 2027.

Bring your longing. Bring your courage. Bring your sass. We’ll bring the beats. Together, we’ll listen for what’s possible and give it somewhere to land.

Ya’Acov has studied and practiced shamanism throughout his life. At the age of 21, he was struck by lightning, an experience that set him on a three-decade journey of initiation. He has been recognized as a practicing shaman by elders of the Sámi people of northern Europe and the Achuar and Sápara peoples of the Amazon.

Together with his wife Susannah, he co-created Movement Medicine™, a dynamic contemporary shamanic practice that supports people from all walks of life to be who they are and give what they have. Ya’Acov’s work comes straight from the heart. With warmth and often irreverent humor, he inspires people to remember who they are.

He is the bestselling author of Jaguar in the Body, Butterfly in the Heart (Hay House, 2017), the creator of Shaman’s Song: Shamanic Journeys to Empower, Inspire and Re-Connect (Hay House, 2018), and co-author of Movement Medicine: How to Dance, Awaken and Live Your Dreams (Hay House, 2009). His book Shaman: Invoking Power, Purpose and Presence at the Core of Who You Are was published by Hay House in spring 2020.

This workshop welcomes both complete beginners and experienced movers. There is no choreography to get right, and no dance experience or ability necessary, just a willingness to move and explore the familiar and unknown.
